Allison and Tom

At AwesomeCon this weekend, Allison told the story of meeting Tom Welling for the first time!
Allison:“The first time I met Tom? “Oh shit, he’s so good looking!” He is really something….I saw him and was just like “HuminaHuminaHumina!” Like he’s incredibly charismatic and he loves…he’s very interested in people so there’s something very magnetic about that quality.
“I saw him at the gym but it was really embarrassing. I was not fit and was like “I’m going to get in shape for this show!” and it was like a week before we started filming. But I marched down into the gym and there was Tom, working on his abs and I was like “Ahhhh!”
“So then I was like “I’m going to do something impressive too! So I jumped on the treadmill but..I don’t run. So I started running and I was like five minutes and was doing this (heavy breathing) and was like, “this isn’t working so I’m just going to go talk to him.” And I did and I was like “Hi!” (heavy breathing) “Nice to meet you.”
And I couldn’t catch my breath and he just stared down at me and at the end of my phrase - I don’t even know what I said - goes (gentle Tom voice) “Oh! You’re perfect for Chloe!”

How Do You Act When You Have A Crush?

Aries: Like everything an Aries does, crushes are intense and quick, and they don’t think for too long before they act; the average time that lapses between an Aries developing a crush on someone and asking them out is about an hour.

Taurus: Taureans are masters at hiding their emotions, so while their crush may be undetectable to others, it’s a really intense, all-consuming, insomnia-inducing experience on the inside.

Gemini: Normally chatty Geminis do even more nervous talking (not to mention nervous joke-making!) around the object of their affection. They’ll look for any excuse to strike up a conversation with their crush.

Cancer: Cancers want to be pursued, so while their feelings might be strong, their actions will be subtle and shy: glances from across the room, maybe a flirty text, but nothing too bold!

Leo: Leos turn the charm up to 11 when they have a crush on someone, showering them with flattery and compliments. True fact: if a Leo has a crush on you, it probably won’t be long before you have a crush on them too.

Virgo: Virgos get super nervous around their crushes and analyze every single detail about interaction (“He said hi instead of hey–what does it meeeaan?!”) to try to decide how to proceed.

Libra: Lovey-dovey Libras are usually balancing multiple crushes at once, but their approach is always the same: making sure to look their best around their crush(es), presenting their most positive qualities, and showering their crush with compliments.

Scorpio: A more accurate term for a Scorpio crush would be “all-consuming obsession with a side of light stalking.” Scorpios will secretly find out every possible detail about the person and spend every waking (and dreaming) moment fixating on the object of their affections.

Sagittarius: Competitive Sagittarians approach winning over their crush as if it were a contest. They’ll recruit everyone they know to talk them up whenever their crush is around, and invite their crush to events that allow them to show off their formidable talents.

Capricorn: Capricorns need to know everything about their crushes before they decide whether or not to act on their feelings. They’ll gather info about everything from how much money their crush makes to their political leanings.

Aquarius: When an Aquarian has a crush on someone, they’ll want to become best friends with them, integrate themselves into the person’s social circle, and hang out constantly until the friendship finally becomes something more.

Pisces: It doesn’t take much to send a Pisces to romantic La-La Land, and a crush will definitely do the trick. Pisceans will spend their days daydreaming about their crush, doodling the person’s name with hearts around it, and imagining their perfect future together.

“I find you in everything I do and everywhere I go.

I find you at midnight when the air outside is brisk and my body is cold. I smell you in between my white sheets through the lavender laundry detergent you thought might help me relax.

I find you in gardens when the smell of tulips remind me of the bouquet you left at my doorstep one March evening just because it was Thursday or the day we went to the city on a school day just for tulip mania and donuts.

I find you in play grounds and in nature walks when the smell of bark brings me back to the day you carved our initials into the tree we spilt tons of paint on after working on a canvas. You told me that everyone was artistic regardless of their capabilities so you filled a dozen eggs with paint and we ran around like children throwing the eggs at the canvas. I nearly missed every throw and left a memory forever printed into that tree. That was the day you imprinted something into my heart. That was the day you told me you were in love with me.

I find you in the books I read. We were similar and different all in the same ways. I loved the way new books smelled yet you liked the smell of old books. Every time I step into a bookstore I get a whiff of a memory that has ended along with every other story told.

I find you during my early morning runs when petrichor is the closest thing that I grasp of the motivation you once gave me at five a.m. When the rain pours in the mornings I smell the day we ran our fastest mile of the year because we were so worried about ruining our new running shoes–I can’t get myself to wear those shoes anymore.

I don’t just find you in places, I smell you. I know that it may sound ludicrous smelling someone who is no longer around, but I can’t seem to erase you from my senses. I can’t make you disappear if you’re still lingering in the air.”

“As you give thought to your future—your future that may be 10 years; your future that may be 5 years; or your future that is 60 days away—you literally begin pre-paving. And then, as you move into those pre-paved moments, and as that future becomes your present, you fine-tune it by saying, This, is what I now want. And all of those thoughts that you have put forth about your future, right down to this moment when you are now intending what action you want to take, will all fit together to bring you precisely that which you now want to live.”

I would kill to spend the rest of my life with that person.

You’re lucky. You’ve fallen in love with your best friend. The person who accepts you at your worst, the person who laughs at your stupid jokes, the person who knows you better than you know yourself. I would kill to spend the rest of my life with that person.

“It is hard to adapt to chaos, but it can be done. I am living proof of that: It can be done.”
