you gotta create what you want

“Sometimes you gotta create what you want to be a part of…”

“Have you found what you’re looking for?”

i think of you ever so often

How to Say "No" to Others

1. Firstly, listen to that nagging voice inside your head. Your intuition often knows when something is wrong – or when you’re saying “yes” to something that you’re going to regret - even though we can’t articulate the reason yet.

2. Be clear about what you want out of life – otherwise you’ll spend your time being used by other people.

3. Count the cost. Be clear about the implications of saying “yes” – on your time, energy, exam success, friendships, reputation, and so on.

you might not wanna do that here.

How to be Your own Person

1. Be unique. Don’t alter your style for the latest fashion. Dress in a way that reflects your personality, your personal taste, and how you are feeling at the time. It doesn’t matter whether people like it or not. True friends will like you for who you are, not for how you look.

2. Be open-minded. Don’t write people off before you get to know them. Make the effort to find out who they really are. Often we’re surprised  to discover how much we have in common with people who look, and seem, very different to us … And being friends with them adds variety to life. It can bring out other aspects of our personality.

3. Find out what your interests and hobbies are. Spend time doing what you enjoy. You don’t have to pretend to like what others like, just to “fit in” or to feel like you belong.

4. Love and accept who you are. Be proud of the fact that you’re not just a clone. Enjoy being you – and appreciate yourself.

5. Understand that others will sometimes push you to please them, instead of being yourself. Often friends and family will want to define the type of person they think we should become. Don’t allow them to do that. You need to be yourself. You won’t be happy being somebody else.

How To Know When To Say “I Love You”

Saying “I Love You” for the first time is scary. Who says it first? What’s the right way to say it? Here are 10 ways to know that you’re ready to say those three little words:

— Sing You Home (Jodi Picoult)

“She puts her hands on either side of my face, and the room falls away. I have never gotten so lost in a kiss before.
And then, the space between us explodes. My heart keeps missing beats and my hands cannot bring her close enough to me. I taste her and realize I have been starving.
I have loved before, but it didn’t feel like this.
I have kissed before, but it didn’t burn me alive.
Maybe it lasts a minute, and maybe it’s an hour. All I know is that kiss, and how soft her skin is when it brushes against mine, and that even if I did not know it until now, I have been waiting for this person forever.”

"I am Nyssa. Daughter of Ra’s al Ghul.”

— Haruki Murakami

“I’m the one
who ruined me:
I did it
myself.”

Catherine Chandler - 2x10

And the blood in these veins

And the blood in these veins
Isn’t pumping any less than it ever has
And that’s the hope I have
The only thing that I know is keeping

— Mandy Hale

“No matter how attractive a person’s potential may be,
you have to date their reality.”

— Coco Chanel

“A girl should be
two things:
who and
what she wants.”

“Where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.”
