If a Man Wants you..
A nice reminder for everyone who is in a relationship, was in a relationship, or will be in a relationship…By: Salma RummanThis advice was passed along to me from a counselor; it was great to hear so I wanted to share it.

2) Stop making excuses for a man and his behavior. Allow your intuition (or spirit) to save you from heartache.
3) Stop trying to change yourselves for a relationship that’s not meant to be. Slower is better.
4) Never live your life for a man before you find what makes you truly happy.
5) If a relationship ends because the man was not treating you as you deserve then heck no, you can’t “be friends.” A friend wouldn’t mistreat a friend.
6) Don’t settle. If you feel like he is stringing you along, then he probably is. Don’t stay because you think “it will get better.” You’ll be mad at yourself a year later for staying when things are not better.
7) The only person you can control in a relationship is you.
8) Avoid men who’ve got a bunch of children by a bunch of different women. He didn’t marry them when he got them pregnant, Why would he treat you any differently?
9) Always have your own set of friends separate from his.
10) Maintain boundaries in how a guy treats you. If something bothers you, speak up.
11) Never let a man know everything. He will use it against you later.
12) You cannot change a man’s behavior. Change comes from within.
13) Don’t EVER make him feel he is more important than you are…even if he has more education or in a better job. Do not make him into a quasi-god. He is a man, nothing more nothing less.
14) Never let a man define who you are.
15) Never borrow someone else’s man. Oh Lord! If he cheated with you, he’ll cheat on you. A man will only treat you the way you allow him to treat you.

Footprints in the sand [prayer]
One night I had a dream.I was walking along the beach with the Lord, and across the skies flashed scenes from my life. In each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand. One was mine, and one was the Lord’s. When the last scene of my life appeared before me, I looked back at the footprints in the sand, and, to my surprise, I noticed that many times along the path of my life there was only one set of footprints. And I noticed that it was at the lowest and saddest times in my life. I asked the Lord about it: “Lord, you said that once I decided to follow you, you would walk with me all the way. But I notice that during the most troublesome times in my life there is only one set of footprints. I don’t understand why you left my side when I needed you most.” The Lord said: “My precious child, I never left you during your time of trial. the paradox of life
The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings but shorter tempers, wider freeways, but narrower viewpoints. We spend more, but have less, we buy more, but enjoy less. Loneliness & Ignorance
