— Rudy Francisco, ”Love Poem"

— Daily Haiku on Love by Tyler Knott Gregson

“Can you read my love
written with my fingertips
on your arching back?”

— Rumi

“Everything in the universe is within you. Ask all from yourself.”

— Unknown

“Say it before you run out of time. Say it before it’s too late. Say what you’re feeling. Waiting is a mistake.”

— Osho

“Be — don’t try to become”

— Nayyirah Waheed, Flood

Chemistry is you touching my arm and it setting fire to my mind.”

“Whiskey, like a beautiful woman, demands appreciation. You gaze first, then it’s time to drink.”

Superman...

With the new Man of Steel out there, who’s still your favorite Superman? (x)

What stays, let it stay.

Whatever comes, let it come.
What stays, let it stay.
What goes, let it go.

Finding someone

“Finding someone worth waking up to is better than finding someone to sleep with.”

at least the dog didn’t expect it the first time

Attempted scaring my husband coming home from work, he knew I was there
I told him to go back and do it again, but to act scared this time!
Instead of scaring him, apparently I airbended the crap out of him and it was so powerful that it knocked him to the ground
This is why I love him

If you want to make a human being into a monster, deny them, at a cultural level, any reflection of themselves.

Toymakers will tell you they won’t sell enough, and movie people will point to the two terrible superheroine movies that were made and say, You see? It can’t be done. It’s stupid, and I’m hoping that The Hunger Games will lead to a paradigm shift. It’s frustrating to me that I don’t see anybody developing one of these movies. It actually pisses me off. My daughter watched The Avengers and was like, “My favorite characters were the Black Widow and Maria Hill.” and I though, Yeah, of course they were. I read a beautiful thing Junot Diaz wrote: “If you want to make a human being into a monster, deny them, at a cultural level, any reflection of themselves.

I have love to give,
I just don’t know
where to put it…

~ Dale Carnegie

Instead of worrying about what people say of you, why not spend time trying to accomplish something they will admire

David Bowie

One day though it might as well be someday.
You and I will rise up all the way,
all because of what you are, the prettiest star

Feeling pathetic

He will not disappear out of my head.
I go in to his facebook all the time to see if any girl has written to him or to look through his pictures for the fifth time that day.
I want to tell everybody I meet about him, but really there is nothing to say.
I know all about him and he does not even know my first name.
I can not help that he is the most good-looking guy I've ever seen and he manages to show up wherever I am.

~Connie Stevens

Nothing you wear is more important than your smile.

let me just talk about how rapunzel’s parents didn’t need a single line of dialogue to tell their story and i cried every time they were on screen because they were just so beautiful and expressive

Let me add that the animation in this movie is one of the most incredible things I have ever seen. Everytime I see a gif or a video, I’m reminded that this is by far part of the pinnacle of 3D animation and something I will always look up to as an animator too. I weep internally at how good it is ok.

— Chuck Palahniuk, Invisible Monsters

No matter how careful you are, there’s going to be the sense you missed something, the collapsed feeling under your skin that you didn’t experience it all. There’s that fallen-heart feeling that you rushed right through the moments where you should’ve been paying attention. Well, get used to that feeling. That’s how your whole life will feel someday. ”

— keaton henson, from ‘hithermost’

“your touch is a priceless possession
don’t let me tire of it, tell me i’ve won
don’t waste the touch of your skin on a greeting
hold me at night so i know the day’s done.

my name from your lips is a sonnet
but utter it not just for mere naming’s sake
save all the syllables, wait until morning
speak to me then so i know i’m awake.

the sound of your laughter is music for dancing
and though you should know of the spell that you cast
don’t spend it eagerly, wait till it’s earnest
laugh with me then so i know it won’t last

there is still a word, gone un-uttered between us
but don’t say it yet darling, i’ll tell you when.
one day i’ll need it like air underwater
save it till then will you,
save it till then.”

— The Archived, by Victoria Schwab

“The silliest things shatter you.”

You used to have a lot of pain, remember?

You used to have a lot of pain, remember? You killed your own father, and then forced your brother to become a vampire. That was just the start of your reign of terror. You hated yourself for a century, but then you found her. Didn’t last very long. But the ending’s the best part because you actually felt real pain, physical pain, torture. Remember? You were trapped in a safe. Tossed in a quarry. Water flooded in. You tried to scream. You tried to escape but all you could do was drown over and over and over again. The only thing keeping you sane was the hope that one day one of the two people you loved, they’d come rescue you. B u t   t h e y   d i d n ’ t.

— Winston Churchill

“Don’t take ‘no’ for an answer, never submit to failure. Do not be fobbed off with mere personal success or acceptance. You will make all kinds of mistakes, but as long as you are generous and true, and also fierce, you cannot hurt the world…”

— “I’m not like the other girls”, Claudia Gray

“It saddens me to see girls proudly declaring they’re not like other girls – especially when it’s 41,000 girls saying it in a chorus, never recognizing the contradiction. It’s taking a form of contempt for women – even a hatred for women – and internalizing it by saying, Yes, those girls are awful, but I’m special, I’m not like that, instead of stepping back and saying, This is a lie.

The real meaning of “I’m not like the other girls” is, I think, “I’m not the media’s image of what girls should be.” Well, very, very few of us are. Pop culture wants to tell us that we’re all shallow, backstabbing, appearance-obsessed shopaholics without a thought in our heads beyond cute boys and cuter handbags. It’s a lie – a flat-out lie – and we need to recognize it and say so instead of accepting that judgement as true for other girls, but not for you.”

— Michael Faudet

“The most beautiful sound in the world to me is not forest birdsong or babbling brooks or even the ringing of church bells. It’s hearing you whisper, ‘I love you’, over and over again.”
