Trust Me

"If Peeta and I were both to die, or they thought we were….My fingers fumble with the pouch on my belt, freeing it. Peeta sees it and his hand clamps on my wrist. “No, I won’t let you.” “Trust me,” I whisper. He holds my gaze for a long moment then lets go. I loosen the top of the pouch and pour a few spoonfuls of berries into his palm. Then I fill my own. “On the count of three?”
Love (written by a 19 year old from city C)
Where to begin?
I’ll start with one of my recent tweets I suppose.
“When you meet your soulmate, his/her beating heart is what keeps you alive and your beating heart is what keeps him/her alive.”
That is the conclusion I have come up with.
I always wonder when I’ll be able to meet that special someone; when will it be my turn to fall deeply, madly, truly in live with someone. It seems so far away and like it’ll never happen.
I see so many people around me experiencing different sorts of love and relationships throughout their lives. Even some are way younger than me and they know the feeling of loving and being loved.
For me, I’ve never really been given the chance at this even. It’s really sad to think I’m 19 and have never ever once:
It’s pretty sad I think considering how so many people way younger than me have already experienced this part in life many times before I’ve even been given a chance to. Sometimes, I do wonder if it could be my fault as well considering the fact that I am picky and do have this desire to find my one and only before going into a relationship… Ridiculous, right?
What’s even worse about this lonely feeling is how it plays games with the mind. Sometimes, the mind makes you feel like oh this person could be it just because the person is the only person who pays attention to you and talks to you or flirts with you etc. it makes you feel special and because you want to be in love you believe you have found your person. On rare occasions, it does happen to people this way, but most of the time, it isn’t as easy as this.
Another trick is how you fall so in love with a celebrity that you get to thinking that maybe thats the person who is your soulmate and you’re destined to be together; but, that’s not so true either because:
It is seriously not possible. Maybe on rare, and I mean RARE, occasions it could have a possibility, but it’s not necessarily going to happen, ever. You only feel so lonely that your mind becomes despite and wants to make you believe this silly fantasy.
With all that being said, one could say that I am really lonely and want prince charming to finally come rescue me and sweep me off my feet.
It’s tiring not being able to have the special someone.

- Gone on a real date.
- Been kissed.
- Had a boyfriend.
- Been in a relationship.
- Been sincerely loved by someone other than family or friends.

Sincerely Me.
— Jodi Picoult
There are two kinds of love. In the safe kind you look for someone who’s exactly like you. It’s what most folks settle for. But then there’s the other kind of love. Everyone’s born with a ragged edge, and some folks crave that piece that’s a perfect fit. You’ll search for it forever, if you have to. And if you’re lucky enough to find it, it looks so right, you start to tear at your own seams, thinking, maybe I could look just as perfect. But then, of course, when you try to get close to their other half, you don’t fit anymore. That kind of love.. you come out of it a different person than you were when you started.
Elephant walking

People always ask,
"Do you still like him?"
Honestly, I don't really know.
But I do know there's just
Something about him
I can't let go
