- Talk to a friend on the telephone, or better yet, get together with a friend.
- Do exercise, mindfully. Moderation is key- don’t push yourself too far.
- Go for a long walk somewhere peaceful.
- Watch the clouds.
- Do something for someone else. It can be something big or small.
- Get out of the house. You don’t need to do anything, just get out.
- Take a nap. (Don’t go overboard though.)
- Plan a dream vacation.
- Eat something mindfully. Chocolate works! Again, moderation is key.
- Cook your favourite meal for yourself and for others.
- Watch a funny or scary movie.
- Go shopping.
- Get a haircut.
- Watch people and try to imagine what they’re thinking.
- Paint your nails.
- Take a bubble bath.
- Read your favourite book.
- Write a poem about how you are feeling.
- Write in your diary/journal.
- Clean your room, organize, and redecorate.
