Between worlds

When I went on a trip to hell
The busy manager gave me a tour
And I saw the faces of its trapped souls
It’s hot down there but the citizens’ hearts are so very cold
I felt like a cube of ice sitting atop the sun

I wanted to see the wonders of heaven
But the angels wouldn’t let me in
They said my soul was impure
And that the city was full and could hold no more

So I am forced to spend eternity
On this empty Earth
Because I don’t want to live in hell
But heaven won’t accept me
Is this the faith of a man without faith?
