— C. Joybell C.

There is some kind of a sweet innocence in being human - in not having to be just happy or just sad - in the nature of being able to be both broken and whole, at the same time.

I. Tsunami
The moment I realised I liked you, I told myself I couldn’t. A plethora of reasons forbade me to do so but the heart wants what it wants. I plunged headfirst into the ocean of you; swam in my hopes and dreams, only to drown in my emotions every time I swim ashore to reality.
You are the tsunami of emotions that I feel when I look into your eyes.

II. Earthquake

Albeit the warnings of the danger that looms, my heart was stubborn and foolish. The more time I spent with you, the more I learned about you, and the more I fell. What I wasn’t prepared for was the sudden magnitude of feelings I had for you, even after the tremors subsided.

You are an earthquake that has shattered my soul.

III. Tornado

That night, you kissed me with beautiful words and false hope. Empty promises whispered into my ear that would dance across my skin. I was swept up in your lies, my feet above the ground as I soar high above the city lights. I spiralled out of control and fell down to earth —wrecked.

You are a tornado that destroyed me.

IV. Drought

I hate to admit it but after you left, my heart cracked on every path you have walked on. A now barren land, incapable of supporting new life. How could you breed love when you lacked the necessity that kept it alive? The tears kept on falling even though I was parched.

You are the drought in your leaving.

V. Flood

Time passed and I have learned to heal by stitching the broken pieces with threads of sentences and patches of paragraphs. Writing is my remedy but why is it every time I pick up my pen, all I ever write about is you?

You are the flood of memories that haunts my mind.

Newborn snow monkeys are full of energy and curiosity

Newborn snow monkeys are full of energy and curiosity. (It’s a good thing mothers are patient!)

SPEAK UP, STOP BEING SO AFRAID OF YOUR GOVERNMENT. THEY DON’T CARE ABOUT US.

A man admittedly followed and killed an innocent teenager, and was declared not guilty.

States are passing laws allowing guns in public schools.

Women are losing their reproductive rights at an increasingly alarming rate.

Riots are tearing through the streets in cities all over the world.

College tuition keeps rising, sending a generation into debt as soon as they are entering the adult world.

Education funds keep getting slashed.

Privacy no longer exists.

Corporations now have the same rights as people, and the funds to actually protect them.

Through loopholes, many U.S. Corporations pay a lower tax rate than middle class families.

States are now passing more voter ID laws and similar laws that only affect the lower class.

The corporate giant, Monsanto, has pretty much purchased and bribed its way into every grocery product on the shelf, resulting in food becoming less and less like, well, food. There are reasons Cancer rates are getting worse.

Likewise, Monsanto is making sure small American farmers are ran out of business. Also, their constant pesticide use is killing bees and other insects, causing dire environmental issues.

The mass media is more concerned with pop culture and trends, than the real issues the world is facing.

Human population is ever growing, and at rapid rates. It can’t just continue this way.

We have put so much trash in giant landfills all over our world and in our oceans. We are killing our planet.

By planet you mean we are killing ourselves.

Can we also pay attention to the fact that there aren’t just political problems going on???

I mean, seriously, I have been trying to tell everyone, BUT NO ONE IS EVEN REBLOGGING THE ARTICLES THAT COULD SAVE A LIFE

While all this is happening, the Pacific Ocean is being contaminated by not just trash, but Radiation.

There was a leak in the Fukushima power plant that has now poisoned the entire Pacific Ocean.

Some think that oh, maybe it will go away with time. Sure, it will, in about 16 million years. Yes, you read that right. Due to the long half life of iodine-129, the whole ecosystem of the Pacific Coast will be contaminated pretty much forever.

Here is the radiation levels in the ocean.

Everyone needs to wake up.

The government needs to be set straight. They were hiding this information so that people don’t panic. Well, now everyone’s gonna die and not know why.

Shit is going down, and we need to make sure EVERYONE knows EVERYTHING that is happening in this place we call home.

fukushima is one of the scariest things going on and it’s literally getting less attention than that real housewives couple who are going to prison.

It’s so freaking cute.

Taking its first steps, and after successfully doing so, the chick goes “Yay!”

The sky when it snows is absolutely perfect.

The sky when it snows is absolutely perfect. It can be 1 o’clock in the morning and bright outside. The silence of everything when it snows is beautiful. You can barely hear a sound when the snow covers everything. Just watching the snow fall and stick to the ground is beautiful. Yeah I guess it sucks that it’s cold and you have to shovel it out, but coming in from the cold and putting on warm clothes, sitting in the heat, and drinking hot chocolate is so relaxing. I miss the snow so much.
