— Sara Keirsten Quin

I don’t think people
understand how stressful
it is to explain what’s going
on in your head when you
don’t even understand
it yourself.

You were the game
and I was the player
who placed her love
in the heart of the betrayer.

Anger Is One Letter Short Of Danger - Poem - by Dr.Rajendra Tela,Nirantar

Anger is fire
It burns the soul
Anger is deep sea
Drowns one to death
Anger is a storm
Blows one
Out of the world
Anger is demon
Overpowers the mind
Anger is a virus
Slowly kills a person
Anger is evil
Brings one closer to hell
Anger is madness
Makes one suffer
Anger is an enemy
Destroys one slowly
Turns friendship
Into enmity
Always remember
Anger is
One letter short of
Danger
It takes its toll
Does not spare
A single soul

The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying, by Sogyal Rinpoche. This book over all had the greatest impact on my life.

Most notably there was a poem in this book entitled "Autobiography in Five Chapters", by Portia Nelson:

1) I walk down the street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk
I fall in.
I am lost...
I am hopeless.
It isn't my fault.
It takes forever to find a way out.

2) I walk down the same street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
I pretend I don't see it.
I fall in again.
I can't believe I'm in the same place.
But it isn't my fault.
It still takes a long time to get out.

3) I walk down the same street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
I see it is there.
I still fall in...it's a habit
My eyes are open; I know where I am;
It is my fault.
I get out immediately.

4) I walk down the same street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
I walk around it.

5) I walk down another street.

I think of this poem often. It helps me remember how I want my life to be, thus helping me stop behaving in ways that are not conducive to having the life that I want.

“I’m sorry, I didn’t think
that caring about you
was such a crime.
Thirteen Word Story

You ripped the stitches
out of my heart.
Eight word Story

I am a wilting daisy,
while she is a stunning
blue rose.
Twelve word story

My heart shattered.
Loudly. Yours didn’t
Six word story

Don’t tell me you hate
me. I will fall apart.
Ten word story”

— Him

“You’re my
happiest hello
You’re my
saddest, painfullest,
most heartbreaking goodbye”

Are you on your way?”

a fragile heart

a fragile heart
a vulnerable soul
beautifully broken
yet somehow
still whole

— Fall in love with a girl who writes by rbcages

“Fall in love with a girl who writes;
she will turn the freckles on your skin
into metaphors about stars and the galaxy
and make you fall in love with them.

Fall in love with a girl who writes;
she will turn your dull jokes into songs
that she’ll sing to you at 2am on a Tuesday
and make you fall in love with them.

Fall in love with a girl who writes;
she will turn your sadness
into stories about love and loss
and make you fall in love with them.

Fall in love with a girl who writes;
she will turn all of your flaws and mishaps
into beautiful words
and make you understand why she loves you.”

i hope one day....

“I hope one day
Your human body
Is not a jail cell,
Instead it’s a sunny
2pm garden with daisies
Thriving because of
Self love.”

— Rumi

I choose to love you in silence…
For in silence I find no rejection,
I choose to love you in loneliness…
For in loneliness no one owns you but me,

I choose to adore you from a distance…
For distance will shield me from pain,

I choose to kiss you in the wind…
For the wind is gentler than my lips,

I choose to hold you in my dreams…
For in my dreams, you have no end.

If you find someone

If you find someone who makes you smile,
Who checks up on you to see if you’re okay,
Who watches out for you and wants the very best for you,
Don’t let them go.
Keep them close and don’t take them for granted.
People like them are hard to find.

“Take away language.
rip out my tongue.
I will still speak with a cut,
an open wound.

I need no words
to speak your name,
my blood swears by you.”

“she’s not perfect;
no
but when we’re lying down
on our bed
and she fits my limbs
so easily
when she’s dragging her lips
on my neck
even in her sleep
i guess i’m allowed to boast
that she’s pretty
damn close”

When you got hurt

When you got hurt
It made you beautiful
The cracks around your heart,
They let the light shine through

When you got hurt
In pieces on the floor
You put them back together
Even better than before.

teach themselves
how to bloom after
winter passes,
so can you.”

― Rumi

“You wander from room to room

Hunting for the diamond necklace

That is already around your neck!”

Rumi

— Nizar Qabbani, My Lover Asks Me

“My lover asks me:
“What is the difference between me and the sky?”
The difference, my love,
Is that when you laugh,
I forget about the sky.”
